History of Time
Until the 15th century the sun was the source of time from looking at its position in the sky, to elaborate sun dials in town square. As you can imagine meeting times couldn’t be too accurate, but then again, if one lived in a small town with limited outside contact, there was always time to wait. As life became more fast paced and at the start of globalization, the need for more accessible timepieces became necessary, and as a result the personal sun dial was created. Accuracy wasn’t 100%, but it was easier than walking to the town square to know the time. Globalization increased and thus the need for more accuracy so the inventors were at it again.
